IEDT at the 84th Meeting of the Council for Railway Transport of the Commonwealth Member States

The 84th Meeting of the Council for Railway Transport of the Commonwealth Member States was held in Ashgabat, the capital of Turkmenistan, on May 13–14, 2026.

Alexey Anatolyevich Zamkovoy, Deputy General Director of JSC “Institute for Transport Economics and Development” (IEDT), took part in the meeting.

During the meeting, the Council considered the following issues:

  • on the implementation of the decisions of the 83rd meeting of the Council and the results of railway network operations for 2025 and the first quarter of 2026.

  • on the results of the passenger complex performance in international traffic for 2025 and the first quarter of 2026.

  • on the results of the container census conducted in 2025.

  • on the progress in implementing the decision of the CIS Council of Heads of Government dated October 18, 1996, on the Concept for establishing a coordinated tariff policy in railway transport of the CIS member states for 2025.

For their significant contribution to strengthening cooperation and interaction among railways in transport operations, the introduction of advanced technologies, and ensuring the efficient functioning of railway transport in international traffic, industry leaders and specialists were recognized and awarded Certificates of Honor of the Council for Railway Transport of the Commonwealth of Independent States, including employees of IEDT.
