IEDT Took Part in the Second Meeting of the Coordination Committee for Management of the EATL Railway Route No. 1

On February 10–11, 2026, the second meeting of the Coordination Committee for the management of the EATL Railway Route No. 1 was held in Minsk (Republic of Belarus). The event brought together representatives of United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE), United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (UNESCAP), the Eurasian Economic Commission, the International Coordinating Council on Trans-Eurasian Transportation, the Organisation for Cooperation between Railways, as well as transport authorities and railway administrations of Belarus, Russia, Mongolia, and Kazakhstan.

IEDT was represented by Deputy General Director Alexey Anatolyevich Zamkovoy and Head of the International Projects Department Lev Nikolaevich Krasnov.

Key agenda items included the development of practical mechanisms to improve Route No. 1, the possibility of organizing unified logistics solutions for shippers, and the creation of “seamless” transport corridors. IEDT took an active part in developing and coordinating templates (assessment tools) for evaluating the current state of infrastructure, as well as identifying physical and non-physical barriers along the EATL Railway Route No. 1.
