The 4th Conference of Transport and Logistics Business Unit of RZD Holding was held in Nizhny Novgorod on December 5-9, 2022. For the first time representatives of branches and companies of RZD Holding (JSC UTLC-ERA, JSC FGK, JSC RZD Business Active, JSC RZD Logistics, IEDT JSC) and market players, including state corporations (FESCO, JSC Russian Post, ROSATOM State Corporation and others) gathered on one platform. 

The program included topical lectures, round tables, and several rounds of the business game (business simulation). Participants held brainstorming sessions, exchanged ideas and practical solutions for cooperation in the new reality of logistics, as well as prepared and defended joint projects.

The team, which included our employee, R.V. Martyshkin, Deputy Head of the Macroeconomics and Forecasting Methodology Department, took the 1st place in the competition of youth projects. The project initiators proposed to develop an automated planning system for the release of a container to the customer with the function of selecting pick-up time slots and the subsequent transfer of this information to the reach stackers drivers. The system implementation will result in a lesser number of intra-warehouse container handling operations, possibility to process more containers with the same number of tools and higher loyalty of customers of RZD JSCo.

The initiative of the team, which included E.V. Dmitrieva, the 1st category engineer, Transport Market Development Department, and A.P. Maslova, the 2nd category engineer, Macroeconomics and Forecasting Methodology Department, to create bonded areas at the terminals of directorates for terminal and warehouse complex management was supported by JSC RZD Business Active, represented by V.G. Sarayev, Director General. Our employees together with RZDBA, COD and PRSC will continue working on the project.
