On February 28, the Academic Board of IEDT JSC held a meeting to discuss the assessment of the cost of construction of railway infrastructure at the pre-project stage.

At the event, S.V. Sekushin, Deputy Director General of IEDT JSC for Science, presented the report "On current tasks in the field of pricing and cost estimating on the railway transport".

I.S. Abdullaev, Cand. of Eng. Sc., Deputy Head of the Directorate of Comprehensive Expert Examination of RZD JSCo Projects, made a report dedicated to the experience of application and proposals for development of the method of unit costs for planning of investment expenses.

A.A. Leonov and A.I. Petrovsky, staff members of the Center for the Development of Industry Standards of IEDT JSC, made proposals in their reports to develop new industry methodology for determining the preliminary cost of construction of railway transport infrastructure and the digital tools necessary for its use (software package and database on construction facilities, types of work, etc.).
