Today, on March 15, our Institute turns 84 years old since its establishment in 1940.

The Institute is approaching this milestone with high results. Our competencies are in high demand in the context of modern government approaches to planning and implementing projects in the field of transport infrastructure development.

Over the years, outstanding scientists, known in the country and abroad, worked and headed the Institute. Scientific developments made on the basis of IEDT became milestones in railway development. Thanks to accumulated invaluable experience, we continue to implement large-scale and complex projects.

The history of the Institute convinces us that our team can handle even the most difficult tasks. Our competencies in the field of forecasting, investment justification and search for efficiency reserves are undeniable, but we are not complacent - nowadays planning is carried out using increasingly complex and modern methods and tools, computer modeling - and this is a serious challenge for our team.

IEDT is not only a scientific institute, but also one of the centers for managing the effective development of Russian railways.
