On December 17, 2024, the Academic Council of the Institute for Transport Economics and Development (IEDT) convened to address a wide range of topics related to railway infrastructure development projects.
The meeting featured scientific presentations on the following topics:
Analysis of Transport Infrastructure Development as a Factor in Regional Socio-Economic Growth. Alexey Dmitrievich Razuvaev, Cand. Econ. Sc. (doctoral candidate), Associate Professor at the Department of "Transport Infrastructure Economics and Construction Business Management" at the Institute of Economics and Finance, Russian University of Transport (MIIT), presented the results of his research;
Creating a Transportation Framework for Vladivostok through the Development of Urban Railway Transport. Ildar Favilovich Mustafin, Head of the Suburban Passenger Transport Development Department at IEDT, delivered a presentation on strategies for enhancing Vladivostok’s urban rail services;
Modern Approaches to Tracing New Railway Lines Using Current Digital Terrain Models. Igor Vladimirovich Tikhonov, an expert in IEDT's Department of Advanced Transport Projects, presented an analysis and recommendations for using modern geographic information systems in railway planning.
During the discussions, the proposals presented by the speakers for advancing research tools and analyzing infrastructure development, as well as preparing railway construction projects, were positively received by the Council members and invited experts from the scientific community.
