On May 29-30, 2024, the School of Advanced Experience on the topic "Effective Fleet Management and Organization of Locomotive Crew Working Hours" was organized at the Sverdlovsk Railway (Yekaterinburg).

E.A. Lakhankin, Head of the Center of Railroad Operations and Interoperability of Transport Systems, with a report on the topic "Calculation of Locomotive Fleet Requirements Using AS PROGRESS";
S.A. Zinchenko, Head of the Locomotive and Wagon Fleet Development Department, as part of the delegation without a report.
The report by Vitaly Panin focused on forecasting the operational performance of RZD railway infrastructure using the AS PROGRESS system, emphasizing the need to update calculation methodologies and integrate with the end-to-end production planning system to improve the accuracy and consistency of operational planning.
Evgeny Lakhankin introduced the calculation of locomotive fleet requirements using the AS PROGRESS system, in his presentation. He described the methodology and algorithms used in the calculation, emphasizing the necessity of adjusting the regulatory framework to enhance planning accuracy.
