On July 23, 2026, General Director of JSC IEDT Sergey Rumyantsev took part in the 183rd meeting of the Joint Scientific Council of Russian Railways, dedicated to the development of digital technologies and the use of artificial intelligence in managing the transportation process and other areas of railway operations.

Sergey Rumyantsev delivered a report titled “Digital General Scheme for Railway Network Development Using AI Technologies.” In his speech, he presented one of the institute’s key software products — the AS “Genscheme,” including a demonstration of the functionality of modules for modeling infrastructure development scenarios and the operation of the AI assistant “ILONA” (I – Intelligent, L – Linguistic, O – Operator, N – Neural Network, A – Analytics).

The presentation also featured digital solutions developed by JSC IEDT to address a wide range of tasks aimed at ensuring the efficiency of end-to-end production planning within the Russian Railways holding (AS PROGRESS NP and ORION — a set of models for operational short-term forecasting of loading).
