JSC “Institute for Transport Economics and Development” (IEDT) took part in the First International Transport and Logistics Forum held on April 1–3, 2026, in Saint Petersburg.
The event brought together representatives from China, India, the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Uzbekistan, Mozambique, and other countries. In addition to national delegations, major international organizations participated, including the SCO, CIS (Coordination Transport Meeting of CIS Member States), OSJD, and the International Maritime Organization.
Key topics discussed during the forum included the development of high-speed rail networks in Russia, international technological cooperation, and strengthening transport and logistics connectivity among EAEU and SCO countries within the framework of the Greater Eurasian Partnership. Participants also addressed the development of the Northern Sea Route, the Trans-Arctic Transport Corridor, and infrastructure in the Azov–Black Sea basin.
As part of the session “Global Connectivity and Transport Corridors”, IEDT CEO Sergey V. Rumyantsev delivered a presentation titled: “The Azov–Black Sea Basin as Russia’s Largest Export Corridor: Development of Southern Transport Infrastructure and Efficient Solutions for Global Trade.”
