On July 25, 2024, a meeting of the Joint Academic Board of RZD JSCo was held. The meeting focused on forming proposals for scientifically based approaches to the development of rail freight transportation, considering market trends and economic forecasts. The aim was to ensure the transportation of the presented cargoes by improving the quality of service for shippers and freight transport.

Deputy Director General of IEDT JSC A.A. Zamkovoy, delivered a report on the topic "Forecast of Rail Freight Volumes Considering Market Dynamics and the Development of Transport and Logistics Corridors."

Alexey Anatolyevich's presentation includes forecasting results for the long-term freight base, taking into account current global geopolitical changes, as well as the development of the North-South International Transport Corridor (ITC) and transport and logistics corridors in the Azov-Black Sea and Eastern directions.
