On March 21, 2025, JSC "IEDT" held the 89th meeting of the Scientific Council to discuss the development of methodological approaches and automation in the pre-project cost assessment of railway infrastructure construction and operation.

At the event, A.I. Petrovsky, Lead Engineer at IEDT's Sectoral Standards Development Center, presented the results of the development of a methodology for determining the preliminary cost of railway infrastructure operation.

M.V. Redkaya, Deputy Head of the Sectoral Standards Development Center at IEDT, delivered a report on the development of software solutions for estimating the preliminary cost of railway infrastructure construction at the pre-project stage.

Continuing the discussion on research automation, D.A. Zakolodkin, an expert from the Advanced Transport Projects Department at IEDT’s Railway Transport Development Center, presented the achievements in developing digital tools for preliminary design of new railway lines.

The meeting was attended by representatives from the construction division of the RZD Holding, the Federal Autonomous Institution "Glavgosexpertiza of Russia," sectoral expert review bodies, design organizations, and the scientific-expert community.
