On March 28, 2024, the Joint Academic Board of RZD JSCo held a meeting to discuss the issues pertaining to formation of proposals for scientifically based approaches to the effects of significant transport projects in Siberia and the Far East.

I.G. Magnushevskaya, Director General of IEDT JSC, presented a report on the topic “On the scientific and practical aspects of railway infrastructure development projects effects assessment (using the example of Eastern Domain)”.

Irina Gennadievna introduced her colleagues to the prerequisites for the passenger and freight transportation development and implementation parameters of the III project stage for the Eastern Domain railway infrastructure development, presented the results of a technical and economic assessment of the technology for integrated container trains driving (Trans-Siberian range) and socio-economic efficiency of the project. The report also presented the results of IEDT JSC work to improve the industry scientific and methodological tools used to justify large-scale infrastructure projects.
