Participation of IEDT in the CIS Coordination Transport Meeting's Council on Education and Science

On September 10, 2024, the XIV session of the sectoral councils of the Coordination Transport Meeting (CTM) of the CIS member states took place in Minsk, Belarus, as part of the international forum "Belarusian Transport Week – 2024." The day before, on September 9, the latest meeting of the Council on Education and Science under the CTM of the CIS was held.

The session was attended by representatives from the transport ministries and agencies of the CIS member states, as well as the Executive Committee of the CIS, the Eurasian Economic Commission, the Directorate of the Council for Railway Transport of CIS States, the Council for Civil Aviation and Airspace Use, educational and scientific organizations, associate members, and others.

During the meeting, the following topics were discussed:

  • Results and future prospects of the Council on Education and Science.

  • Joint educational programs between transport universities in the CIS, focusing on training specialists for the "North-South" international transport corridor.

  • Research activities of educational and scientific institutions in the CIS.

  • Development of the specialized portal for the Council on Education and Science.

  • Refinement of the regulations for the CTM of the CIS.

  • Introduction of new members to the Council.

  • Formation of the agenda for the 44th session of the CTM of the CIS.

Sergey Sekushin, Deputy General Director of IEDT JSC, participated in both events and engaged in productive discussions with other council members and session participants.
