On May 28-29, 2024, the International Scientific and Practical Conference "Transport of Russia: Problems and Prospects-2024" was held at the N.S. Solomenko Institute of Transport Problems of the Russian Academy of Sciences (IPT RAS).
At the conference, Kudiyarov S.P., leading engineer of the Macroeconomics and Forecasting Methodology Center, IEDT JSC, presented a report titled "Economic Tools for Justifying the Placement of Terminal and Logistics Infrastructure Objects on Railway Transport".
In his report, current prerequisites for organizing the interaction between railway and road transport and establishing combined supply chains through the system of terminal and logistics infrastructure facilities were presented. These prerequisites consider both domestic and international practices. The report also introduced the author's methodological approaches and mathematical models for determining the optimal location and structural parameters of potential terminal and logistics infrastructure facilities, taking into account factors such as minimizing transport costs, minimizing transport risks, and integral transport accessibility.
The presented approaches have been tested in IEDT practical activities and will become an integral part of S.P. Kudiarov's dissertation for the degree of Candidate of Economic Sciences.
