In Nizhny Novgorod, on September 10, the All-Russian hackathon of the “Digital Breakthrough - 2023” project, part of the presidential platform “Russia – the Land of Opportunities,” ended. This project is being implemented with the support of the Russian Ministry of Economic Development. This year the main theme of the competition for software developers was “Artificial Intelligence”.

Solving case tasks in the hackathon allows for a quick search for solutions and the possible introduction of artificial intelligence into the technological processes of RZD JSCo.

Railroad workers in their cases suggested that participants, using artificial intelligence methods, coordinate the passage of car flows and automate the process of developing methods for placing cargo, create a voice assistant for a train driver.

Participants received great assistance in developing their projects from industry and technical specialists. Among the experts and members of the jury of RZD JSCo were managers, specialists and regional representatives of the Traction Directorate, the Traffic Control Directorate, the Center for Corporate Transport Services, employees of RZD-Technologies LLC, IEDT JSC , NIIAS JSC, OTsRV Sirius LLC.
