At the "PRO//Motion.South" conference, Irina Magnushevskaya, General Director of the Institute for Transport Economics and Development, presented on the strategic program to increase the transport capacity of rail connections to the ports of the Azov-Black Sea Basin to 152 million tons by 2030.
Irina Magnushevskaya highlighted that current demand from shippers is projected to reach 180 million tons by 2030-2031, based on official requests, and noted the rapid development of ports and terminals to meet this need.
She emphasized the necessity of advancing railway infrastructure at a similarly accelerated pace to support this growth.
"I believe that increasing the transport capacity to ABSB ports to 200 million tons will be in high demand. It’s essential to support Russian Railways in achieving these goals," Irina Magnushevskaya concluded.
