On June 22, a meeting on improving the efficiency of traction resource management was held in St. Petersburg. The meeting, which brought together the heads and specialists of the traction and traffic control directorates, was organized for the first time in the last few years. Similar events, as a rule, take place at the road level - mainly to coordinate operational actions.

The meeting was attended by Oleg Valinsky, Deputy Director General - Head of the Traction Directorate, Artyom Agarkov, Head of the Central Directorate of Traffic Control, as well as heads and deputy heads of the Traction Resources Control Centers from all roads.

At the meeting, a model for calculating the optimal number of technical inspections (TO-2) at the maintenance depot was presented (Syzran-1, Novorossiysk, M. Gorky, Bataysk, Anisovka, 9 km-passing place were chosen). Institute for Transport Economics and Development, that has developed the model, laid in its basis the requirements of the Technology for managing traction resources and the structure of the car traffic for a month. The goal is to move from the principle of "plan for TO-2 for the existing staff" to the recruitment of staff for the need for TO-2.
