One of the topics of the RCC's direct line with Sergey Krasotkin, Deputy Minister of Roads and Transport of Kolyma, was the construction of the Yakutsk-Magadan railway, or rather, the possibility of its implementation within the city limits.

- So far, they do not plan to blow up the hill, because this will also be a very expensive undertaking, and the construction of the railway is already expensive, - Sergey Krasotkin reassures Magadan residents. - Nevertheless, in accordance with the route presented by the Institute for Economics and Transport Development, the road should go from the seaport, through the Kolyma districts, and so on to Nizhny Bestyakh (Yakutsk).
